Marvel Will Sell Limited Iron Man Statues at Comic Con
It’s no surprise that the Iron Man series has dominated the movie industry. According to Forbes, Disney’s Iron Man 3 debuted in the United States with $175.3 million.
“For those who don’t recall, Iron Man stunned box office observers by debuting with $102 million at the start of summer 2008 before ending up with $318 million domestic and $585 million worldwide. Two years later, Iron Man 2 debuted with $128 million and grossed $312 million domestic and $623 million worldwide.”
Iron Man 3 had the second biggest opening weekend on record behind The Avenger’s $207 million debut in 2012.
With so much hype around the Iron Man series, it only makes sense that Marvel would capitalize on it at Comic Con this year. The company will be selling a limited number of Iron Man statues from Beast Kingdom.
According to Marvel,
“There are three Marks available: Iron Man 2 Mark V, Iron Man 2 Mark VI, and Iron Man 2 War Machine. SDCC marks the first time that these statues are for sale by Marvel in the United States!”
There will be 100 units of each statue available and will be sold for $80.
